Office leasing at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier continues successfully: The Hamburg-based clean tech company ADLER Smart Solutions and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) Germany have signed a long-term lease for an area of over 1,400 square metres on the 11th and 12th floors, the top office floors, of the exclusive “Lee” building. The move into the consistently sustainable developed and later operated building ensemble is directly in line with the business field of ADLER Smart Solutions, a holistic project development and execution company in the renewable energy industry. The move into the new office space at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier is planned for the second half of 2024.
ADLER Smart Solutions was founded in 2011 by economics graduate Tajo Adler. Since then, the company has been driving the integration of photovoltaic systems and environmentally friendly mobility and pursuing the vision of an uncomplicated and profitable clean energy future. Sustainability and the ability to innovate are core elements of ADLER Smart Solutions, so that business partners, especially companies, investors as well as real estate developers and operators, are guaranteed the full exploitation of the savings potential, as well as an optimal design of sustainable energy.
Luv & Lee: inspiring environment for the working world of tomorrow
Innovative, dynamic and lively: The twin towers Luv & Lee with a total of 19,650 square metres of office rental area are not only office buildings, but at the same time an experience. The transparent façades and flexible office spaces radiate an openness and vitality that evokes a feeling of boundless possibilities for both the people who work here and the visitors. Designed as an inspiring workplace, Luv & Lee offers state-of-the-art features. Direct, glass-roofed access to the metro and public transport as well as parking spaces ensure an ideal location. Large garden terraces are located on the roof of the fourth floor of the Lee building and within the second floor is a landscaped courtyard. In addition, public restaurants with waterside outdoor terraces welcome their guests. Furthermore, a sky restaurant with bar and viewing platform is planned on the top floor of the 62-metre-high Lee main tower, which will give visitors a 360° view of HafenCity, the traditional city centre and the river Elbe. The architecture for the twin office towers is by UNStudio, an internationally oriented architecture and design office based in Amsterdam.
Certified sustainability at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier
Standardised, all new buildings at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier receive “BREEAM” certification in the “Communities” and “New Construction Excellent” categories. The entire building site has already become the first large-scale project in Germany to receive the DGNB pre-certificate for sustainable building sites, which is already being used successfully as a planning and management tool and commits the mixed-use project development to the highest possible sustainability quality even before completion. In addition, URW places great emphasis on a low carbon footprint and a high recycled content when selecting building materials. For example, a low-carbon cement is used for the structure of the buildings, which saves up to 50 percent CO2 consumption compared to conventional cement. Electricity from 100 per cent renewable energy sources during construction and in later operation, excellently insulated building envelopes with rooms flooded with daylight, optimal connections to public transport, a total of 3,500 bicycle parking spaces and charging stations for e-bikes and e-cars, modern sharing and shuttle services in the quarter – the overall sustainable concept of Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier and its office buildings includes numerous components and measures.

We are very pleased that ADLER Smart Solutions has chosen the Lee office building for its new headquarters. This confirms to us that the flexible and open structures of our office spaces and the sustainable, modern construction at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier optimally meet the current wishes of companies and their teams.
